Frequently Asked Questions
-
Each cabin comes with its own propane grill. If you happen to run out of propane during your stay, we have replacement propane tanks in the garage.
-
We supply most of the basics for your cooking needs: pots and pans, utensils, bowls, etc. We also supply salt and pepper and olive oil. If you happen to need anything else to prepare meals, Teal’s Market in Isle is just a few minutes from our cabin and is a full-service grocery store. Please note that Mokki and Skali have an air fryer that will fit a standard sized pizza, but not a full oven.

Our shoreline and beach make for an easy spot to cool off, splash around, and enjoy the water. We do have some natural reeds and vegetation, so it’s not a completely open swimming beach. We do maintain a clear access area around our beach and dock, which makes it easy to get kayaks, paddleboards, and boats out to the open water. For larger sandy beach access, we recommend stopping by Father Hennepin, which has a quarter-mile long beach and swing set. Sweenes Beach in Isle is another option in Wahkon.
-
We have a woodshed and small carts you can use to transport logs. Please use the wood sparingly and return any unused logs to the woodshed. Also note that Mokki and Skali have wood firepits while Stuga is a gas pit.

There are a number of boat rental options near our property. Beachside Resort and Island View Resort are easy options in Wahkon Bay, while Castles Resort and McQuoid’s are both located in Isle. Alternatively, feel free to bring your own boat and tie up on our dock. The easiest places to launch are either downtown Wahkon or Father Hennepin State Park; both just a short drive from our property. Please do not try to launch on our beach.

In the summer, we have discs for our frisbee golf nets, bocce ball, Kan Jam, some beach toys, as well as 2 adult bikes and 2 kid bikes. In the winter, we also have 2 sets of Hok skis and a number of snowshoes for exploring the lake and our walking trails.
